Flush Trim Plane
A flush trim plane made entirely with hand tools. Originally cut from an off-cut of a maple slab 3” thick. Sawed down with a bipolar Japanese pull saw. Planed the sides at a slight angle. Chiseled the slope and “nose” (with dull chisels). Used files to round the corners on top and slight finger grip indentations on the side. Finished smoothing with a card scraper. This is the final test fit and look before applying tung oil.
